HISTORY
Engel & Partners was first established by Arthur Agg in the late 1800’s when Arthur came to Bairnsdale and joined forces with Norman Engel. The practice was known as Agg & Engel and even now, from time to time, clients still refer to the practice as Agg & Engel. Upon Arthur Agg’s death, the practice became Engel & Partners with Norman Engel at the helm.
Engel & Partners, from its very beginnings, has been a practice that has provided the rural community of Bairnsdale and surrounds with the finest of legal advice in the area. Scores of generations of farming families remain with Engel & Partners to this very day. The heaving strong room, filled with clients’ Deeds is testament to the trust in which clients still place in Engel & Partners expertise.
The practice, founded on respect, competency, loyalty and honesty are the old fashioned qualities for which Engel & Partners is renowned.
Whilst there has been a changing of guard over the years, and the practice is now owned and run by lawyer and director, Geraldine O’Connell, the spirit of the founders remains as an overarching motivation of all the team at Engel & Partners.
